SHAKESPEARE’s DAY 2026
On 23rd April, the Literary and Dramatics Club brought Shakespeare’s Day to life through an imaginative and immersive experience. What began as a simple museum visit turned extraordinary when a group of Gen Z students found themselves “trapped” inside a Shakespearean museum—face to face with his iconic characters.
From Hamlet’s deep reflections to Juliet’s passionate love, from Macbeth’s ambition to Puck’s mischief, the students encountered emotions that felt surprisingly real and relevant. Stripped of their digital distractions, they engaged, questioned, and connected with the timeless themes of love, ambition, jealousy, and identity.
The event was graced by the presence of Sister Leena and Sister Santhi, making the occasion even more special.
By the time they “returned,” the students carried a newfound appreciation for Shakespeare, realising that while times change, human emotions remain the same.
This 23rd April, Shakespeare wasn’t just celebrated—he was experienced.
