SWACHHTA PAKWADA 2023

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Government of India has launched a program designated as”Swachhta pakhwada”.It is an occasion to pledge the support of the educational institutions for spreading the message of cleanliness not only among the students but also in the surrounding areas.

In keeping with the spirit and objective of the exercise, the Nature club actively framed an activity calendar for the students during the Swachhta pakhwada from 1st to 15th September 2023. The drive included Poster making competition, campus cleaning, slogan writing competition , Sketching competition, etc. The students of all the classes from 8th to 12th participated in all these competitions with great enthusiasm.

The Swachhta pakhwada commenced with the Oath taking ceremony in which the whole school participated. Oath was taken to maintain cleanliness all around to achieve the objectives of attaining a clean -campus, society and a country.

The Principal Sr.Leena in her noteworthy appreciation, mentioned the Swachhta pakhwada as a daily discipline.

A special assembly was organised by the students to spread awareness on the importance of cleanliness. A special talk was shared by Ma’am Arpita Chatterjee to highlight the importance of Personal Hygiene and good health. It came out to be very beneficial as the students became aware about the consequences of unhealthy practices of Personal Hygiene. Inspection and cleaning of the school campus, cleaning of the smart boards, was done by the students of class 8th to 10th. A sketch making competition on the topic ”Importance of personal hygiene” was conducted for the students of classes 6th to 8th, poster making and slogan writing competition were also held for the classes 9th to 12th on the topic” Clean today, thrive tomorrow”, and “Embrace cleanliness, embrace happiness” to bring awareness amongst the students for clean surroundings.
