NATURE CLUB ACTIVITY (3rd August, 2024)

"To plant trees is to give body and life to one's dreams of a better world."-Russell Page Trees provide a wealth of environmental, social and economic benefits to our homes, neighborhoods, schools and communities. Trees and forests improve air and water quality, sequester carbon dioxide, reduce stormwater and flooding, shade and cool their surroundings, produce oxygen, provide habitat for wildlife, increase property values, and improve human physical and mental health. Children and youth have the most to gain from connections with nature, especially trees and forests.Today, environmental degradation poses a foremost risk to the human being both in rural and urban contexts. The significance and need for environmental education as a tool for environmental management and preservation cannot be exaggerated in such a setting since environmental literacy, attitude development, and involvement in ecological behavior are the end products of this discipline.

To ensure this, Students of Nature club along with the Principal Rev. Sr. Leena and the teacher in-charges planted saplings in the school campus. To maintain a healthy environment in campus, the students of Nature club also ensured the cleanliness of the school premises.
