On 15th August 2025, St. Patrick’s Junior College celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great pride and patriotic fervour.
It was an honour to have Ma'am Geeta as the chief guest for the day who's presence added grace to the event.
The celebrations began with the much-awaited inter-house March Past competition. With the School Cabinet leading the way, the four houses displayed perfect discipline, synchronization, and enthusiasm. After a close contest, Green House marched ahead to secure the first position, Yellow House followed in second place, while Red and Blue Houses tied for the third spot reflecting the spirit of healthy competition and unity.
The theme of this year's celebration was "Honouring Freedom, Inspiring the Future".Keeping that in mind, the day took a
reflective turn with a special prayer service conducted by the students of Class 12. Their heartfelt prayers and readings reminded everyone of the values of sacrifice, peace, and integrity that form the foundation of our freedom.
To conclude, the young and energetic students of Class 4 presented a delightful cultural programme. Their colourful and lively performances added charm to the morning and celebrated the beauty of India’s diversity and the promise of its bright future.
At the end, the students were bestowed with pearls of wisdom from our Principal Rev. Sr. Leena, ending the day at a meaningful note.
The day’s events stood as a reminder that while freedom was hard-earned by our forefathers, its true honour lies in how we, the future citizens, preserve and nurture it.
